Wale Nubi

Founder & Executive Director

Wale Nubi’s journey into the world of fashion began as a teenager in Nigeria, where he developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship, presentation, and timeless style. Growing up, he inherited a rotation of designer shoes from his older brothers living in London — a small but powerful introduction to sartorial elegance that would later shape his vision.

In the early 2000s, Wale joined his brothers in Europe, traveling through fashion-forward cities where tailoring, precision, and presentation were part of everyday life. Immersed in that culture, he developed a deep respect for refined menswear and the transformative power of dressing with intention. Those formative experiences laid the foundation for what would eventually become his life’s work.

Before fully immersing himself in the fashion industry, Wale built a successful career as an IT consultant serving Fortune 500 companies. Yet even in the corporate world, his entrepreneurial spirit remained strong. While working in the United States, he quietly pursued his passion — selling shoes from the trunk of his car, personally styling clients, and building relationships one customer at a time.

When the moment aligned with his vision, Wale made the bold decision to transition from corporate consulting to full-time entrepreneurship. In 2014, he opened his first flagship store in the highly sought-after Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago — establishing a physical home for his growing menswear brand and setting the standard for personalized, luxury tailoring experiences.

Over the years, the brand continued to evolve, earning a reputation for craftsmanship, precision, and elevated client service. In 2025, Jojayden expanded its footprint with the opening of a new branch in the prestigious River Oaks area of Houston — bringing the same refined tailoring experience to a new market and reinforcing the brand’s commitment to excellence.

As his journey progressed, Wale’s mission expanded beyond fashion. He began mentoring young men, aspiring entrepreneurs, and working professionals — emphasizing confidence, presentation, discipline, and ownership as pillars of success. Through speaking engagements, networking events, and community initiatives, he inspires men to elevate not only their appearance, but their mindset and standards.

This broader vision led to the creation of the Style & Power Foundation — a nonprofit initiative dedicated to empowering the next generation through mentorship, confidence-building programs, and access to milestone opportunities such as prom sponsorships and entrepreneurship development events.

Today, Wale’s journey reflects more than fashion. It represents leadership, reinvention, and legacy — a belief that how a man presents himself can influence how he is perceived, how he performs, and ultimately how he shapes his future.
